Our Child and Family Centre provides a community space with a range of services to help our mob, working with our families to support you and your kids. Check out our term 1 2018 timetable.

Located in Glenda Street, Waterford West, we provide a range of early childhood, parenting, health and support services.

*Excluding our Child Psychologist and Art for the Soul program, which require a referral

Our programs and services

Do you have kids 5 or under or a baby? Come along to one of our weekly playgroups! It’s a great place for mums, dads and carers to meet with other parents and enjoy time with your kids through music, craft activities, game and stories. Free morning tea is provided. When: Tuesday and Friday group (0 – 5years) Time: 10am to 12 noon
Good Quick Tukka runs each week. It's a hands on cooking program to help families learn to cook good, quick Tukka. This program will be run from the Child and Family Centre and in homes with extended families. Find out more about the program and download recipes . . .
Is your child experiencing problems? Do you have concerns about your child’s development or educational progress? Are you having difficulty parenting your child? Our child psychologist can help. When: Wednesday and Friday Time: Please note this is not a walk in service. You will need to make an appointment and also get a referral from one of our ATSICHS Brisbane medical clinics first.
1,2,3 Magic includes a variety of programs ranging from supporting behaviour through to art and family wellbeing. Starting term 2 When: Tuesday (17th and 24th Apr, 1st May) Time: 9.30am to 12.00pm Morning tea will be provided.
Tumble Time Tots is a free program for children aged 2 to 3 years and their parents/carers to come along and have some fun with other children. We have soft play equipment for the little ones and we have play mats for small babies to have a play while you grab a cuppa. When: Six week program starting 14 February 2018. Time: TBC
Promoting healthy eating through play and cooking experiences for 2-5 year olds. When: Thursday Time: 9.30am– 12noon
An emotional resilience program for 4 to 7 year olds. When: Thursday (week 2 to 10 in 2018) Time: 3.30pm-4.30pm Limit 10 students
For Prep to Year 2, Waterford West State School students When: Wednesday Time: 3.00pm-4.30pm (TBC)
For mums with kids 0 -12 months Supporting the needs of new mums and their babies When: Monday Time: 9.30am-11.00am
Home cooking is the best and cheapest way to provide nutritional meals for bub. Using everyday fresh foods and family meals to support introducing solids to your baby. When: Monday Time: 11.00am-12.00pm
Whether you are planning to be a mum, are pregnant, or already have kids, we can provide you and your child with help and support at every stage.

Pop in and get our baby weighed with a Child Health Nurse. Free and healthy service. No appointment necessary. Just drop in!
A JP (Justice of the Peace) service will be available. When: Monday and Wednesday Time: 9.00am-10.00am
