Our Child and Family Centre provides a community space with a range of services to help our mob, working with our families to support you and your kids. Check out our term 1 2018 timetable.

Located in Glenda Street, Waterford West, we provide a range of early childhood, parenting, health and support services.
- Early childhood education and care services: playgroups supporting a range of developmental stages and ages, supporting local schools, early childhood education and development programs including social and emotional wellbeing, and supporting our local Deadly Kindy’s including Deadly Kindy Kingston & Deadly Kindy Burragah
- Family and parenting support services: parenting resources and programs, home visiting, counselling, nutrition programs, healthy and safe home environments, individual support for children and families.
- Child and maternal health services: basic health and development screening, antenatal and postnatal maternal care, immunisation, well-being checks, child health, early childhood allied health (occupational therapy, speech therapy, child psychologist, audiology etc.).
- General advice and information on a range of early childhood and family issues.
- Linkages and referral pathways with other community and government services.
*Excluding our Child Psychologist and Art for the Soul program, which require a referral

Our programs and services
Do you have kids 5 or under or a baby? Come along to one of our weekly playgroups! It’s a great place for mums, dads and carers to meet with other parents and enjoy time with your kids through music, craft activities, game and stories. Free morning tea is provided.
When: Tuesday and Friday group (0 – 5years)
Time: 10am to 12 noon
Is your child experiencing problems? Do you have concerns about your child’s development or educational progress? Are you having difficulty parenting your child? Our child psychologist can help.
When: Wednesday and Friday
Time: Please note this is not a walk in service. You will need to make an appointment and also get a referral from one of our ATSICHS Brisbane medical clinics first.
1,2,3 Magic includes a variety of programs ranging from supporting behaviour through to art and family wellbeing.
When: Wednesday (28th Feb,7th Mar,14th Mar)
Time: 9.30am to 12 noon
Tumble Time Tots is a free program for children aged 2 to 3 years and their parents/carers to come along and have some fun with other children. We have soft play equipment for the little ones and we have play mats for small babies to have a play while you grab a cuppa.
When: Six week program starting 14 February 2018.

Promoting healthy eating through play and cooking experiences for 2-5 year olds.

An emotional resilience program for 4 to 7 year olds.

Supporting the needs of new mums and their babies

Home cooking is the best and cheapest way to provide nutritional meals for bub. Using everyday fresh foods and family meals to support introducing solids to your baby.
