Aunties come together to raise breast cancer awareness

This week 32 aunties came together to prioritise their health at our annual breast cancer awareness event in Logan.

Held at the Gould Adams Community Hall, the event brought together women from our three southside clinics and shared the importance of early detection when it comes to breast health.

Our friends from Support the Girls came along again this year, assisting all attendees to have their bras fitted correctly and sending the aunties home with some freebies.

A particular highlight for the women was the weaving workshop run by our friend Erica from Dreamtime Artistry, allowing the aunties to connect, yarn and laugh as they supported each other to prioritise their health and speak about their own experiences with cancer.

A big thanks to Guvi Cakes and Figjam & Co for keeping us all fed and to Yarn for supplying some beautiful merchandise to remember the day by.

We’d especially like to thank Tour de Cure and Suncorp for their generous funding donation that made this event possible.

Check out all the photos from the event below.
