Safe spaces for children
Our organisation is committed to creating safe places and strong communities for the next generation.
We want every child to feel safe, respected and cared for.
Here’s what we do:
- Keep kids safe by finding and fixing things that cause you harm.
- Take action if someone hurts you or breaks the rules.
- Choose the right people to work with kids and teach them how to keep you safe.
- Listen to you and your family so you feel comfortable speaking up.
- Welcome everyone, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids, kids from different cultures and faiths, kids with disabilities and LGBTQIASB+ kids.
- Include everyone by making sure our programs meet different needs.
- Hear your voice so you know your rights and can have a say in decisions about your life.
Your rights matter
Every child has rights. Rights help you feel safe, respected and deadly.
