Our Logan Family Participation Program (FPP) empowers families to exercise their right to self determination and actively participate in Child Safety decisions that impact their lives.
FPP supports families every step of the way when Child Safety is involved. We support our families to have a voice and a choice when it comes to their kids, hold space for our families so they feel safe and heard, and ensure an Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander lens is applied to all ways of working with families, Child Safety and community.
Our program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families currently involved with Child Safety. This includes children and young people who are subject to a child protection investigation and those who are already subject to ongoing intervention within the child protection system.
The primary function of our program is to facilitate an Independent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Led Decision Making (ASTIFLDM) process for each family referred to our service.
