Community celebrates 50 years of ATSICHS Brisbane

Today we celebrated our 50 years anniversary with our Community Fun Day held at Waterford Rugby League Club.

It might have been a hot one but that didn’t stop the crowds from coming out and supporting us.

Youth Services Case Manager Sawee Bero and Family Support Case Manager Aiaga Lee did a fantastic job emceeing the event and we were also grateful to have the assistance of our Family Wellbeing, Deadly Choices, Youth Services, Corporate Services, Deadly Kindy, Jajumbora Children and Family Centre, Jajumbora BiOC, Social Health, Dental and Primary Health teams throughout the day.

A big thanks to Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dance Company for a moving Welcome to Country and performance, Tana Fire Dancers for an amazing dance show and also to the Fringe Dwellers and Harry Whaleboat for keeping the crowds entertained.

The day wouldn’t have been as fun without our new furry friends from the The Odd Squad Petting Zoo, the impressive face painting we saw on everyone’s faces from Sparkly Fairy Face Painting and also the bouncy inflatables from Don’t Stop The Party.

A big thank you to Councillor Teresa Lane, Councillor Tony Hall, Councillor Mindy Russell and Councillor Tim Frazer for their support not only today, but across our long history.

We are incredibly grateful to Waterford Rugby League Football Club for hosting our event at their fantastic facility and also coming on as a sponsor.

Finally, a very big thank you to our sponsors Logan City Council, Struddys, Key Assets Australia, Triple A, SG Fleet for helping make our community event a resounding success.
