We’re proud to share our 2023-24 Annual Report, Our Community, Our Future, Our Way.
This report celebrates our achievements and highlights the extensive work we’re delivering to our community across Brisbane and Logan.
It also provides valuable insights into the key issues affecting our community and shows how we’re building stronger futures for our people – person by person, family by family, generation by generation.
Key highlights
Below are some of the key highlights of our work this year:
- 8,925 patients visited our dental clinics, van and truck.
- We saw 57,532 patients in our medical clinics and provided 7,617 annual health checks.
- Our Social Health team provided 20,274 episodes of care.
- We opened Mari-Mari-Ba, our 33-unit accommodation facility for vulnerable women and children.
- We cared for 71 residents at Jimbelunga Nursing Centre.
- Our Youth Service engaged with 2,102 young people through their outreach, programs and case management services.
- 887 community members accessed our Jajumbora Children and Family Centre programs and services.
- The number of NDIS participants supported increased by 68%.
- Deadly Kindy Burragah celebrated 40 years of providing early childhood education to the Logan community.
- Our Family Wellbeing Service, Intensive Family Support and Family Participation Program supported 1,939 families and children.
- The Deadly Choices team had 4,391 clients attend their programs and stalls.
- Our Jajumbora Birthing in our Community Hub saw 171 babies born.
- The Brighter Futures (Extended Post Care Support) program supported 50 young adults to transition to independent living
- We launched our newest child protection program, Nyanya Munjindei – Delegated Authority.
- Our Research team worked on a foster and kinship care project with the Lowitja Institute.
