Vulnerable Youth

About our service
Helping young people and families through tough times.
The Vulnerable Youth team supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families during some of life’s most challenging moments, including youth justice involvement, homelessness and risky behaviours.
If you live in the Brisbane and Logan regions, our Vulnerable Youth Team is here to help you.
How does our service work?
The team delivers a variety of targeted initiatives, including:
- Youth Justice Family-Led Decision-Making (YJFLDM) – empowering families and young people to make collaborative decisions that shape positive outcomes.
- Community Youth Response Diversion (CYRD) – supporting young people who are at risk of re-entering or re-engaging with the Youth Justice System.
- ATSICHS Youth Outreach – offering flexible, on-the-ground support to young people during key times, with a focus on early intervention and safety.
- Youth Outreach (Housing) – delivering culturally responsive support to young people who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
- Care Coordination – working in partnership with Mob Link to strengthen early intervention pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families.
Each program is tailored to meet the unique needs of young people in the community, with a strong focus on prevention, early intervention and long-term support.
