Taneecia is a dedicated Oral Health Therapist and proud Wulli Wulli and Wakka Wakka woman. Her mission revolves around educating community about oral hygiene and providing preventative and restorative dentistry solutions for adults and children. Taneecia’s primary focus is to empower mob to look after their oral health.
Maibinyana, meaning ‘men working together’ (derived from the Yugambeh language and a Torres Strait dialect), is a fitting name for the men’s group at Jimbelunga, which is all about connection, community and collaboration.
Cleavon (CJ) wasn’t clear on his career path after leaving high school but felt a strong pull toward working with community. Volunteering with Deadly Choices reaffirmed his interest in community health, steering him toward an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Traineeship with ATSICHS Brisbane in March 2023.
We caught up with Jimbelunga Cook Charlene to learn more about her background and passion for food.

There is a lot to consider when it comes to providing nutritious, digestible and crowd-pleasing meals in the aged care sector. Aged Care Operations Manager Belinda Charles and Environmental Services Administration Manager Sharen Suman were pleased to have the opportunity to host Maggie Beer Foundation Chef Trainer and Mentor Anna Sundqvist to share their insight around food and nutrition in the context of Jimbelunga Nursing Centre.
We are delighted to introduce five new General Practitioner (GP) registrars who have just commenced their training placements with ATSICHS Brisbane.
