Matt achieves prosthetist qualifications

We’d like to congratulate our newest Dental Prosthetist Matt.

The proud Nunukul man graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics late last year. He is now working hard from our Gabba Dental Clinic to restore the smiles and confidence to our mob.

It’s a specialised field and one Matt has embraced in his latest role. Dental prosthetists work as independent practitioners in the assessment, treatment, management and provision of removable dentures, and flexible removable mouthguards used for sporting activities.

Matt started out as a Dental Receptionist with us 9 years ago. Since then he progressed as a Dental Assistant Trainee, and has now completed his Bachelor Degree. He’s using his prosthetist knowledge and skills to change the face of oral health in our community.

Dentures, like natural teeth, need regular care and maintenance. You should make an appointment to consult our dental prosthetist if your present dentures are more than 12 months old, causing you any discomfort or if it has been 12 months since you have seen a DP or dentists in relation to your dentures.

We provide a wide range of dental services at our Woolloongabba and Logan dental clinics and from our mobile van located at the Murri School.

Our dental team consists of dentists, oral health therapists, dental assistants, dental technicians and now a dental prosthetist. We support the training of dental students by providing clinical placements for final year dental students throughout the year.
